Results of Challenge #522

Hello Everyone - Happy 2026!

Here are my top picks for Challenge #522 (in entry order):

It's always lovely to see a Playground prize being used by its winner and Marjeta made this delightful card using a Bunny stamp she won. It's really beautiful!

Brenda produced a showstopper with her glorious floral entry, shown below. Wonderful use of snippets and I adore the vibrant colours as well as the slatted circle behind the white layer!

And my final pick was made by Susan B. What a card! And what a labour of love to punch out all those different shades of green pine snippets to create such a gorgeous Christmas wreath - I really love it!

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winners of four December mystery prize bundles, in the order they were drawn, are:

Helen (11); Tina (20); Val (4) & Kath (18)

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 24th January 2026 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Sarn's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details.

And finally, somehow this year's Blogaversary skipped past us on 8th January - 14 years since I took over from Jules AND coming up to four years since the launch of the New Snippets Playground, where the sun always shines! Glad to know it's shining somewhere!!

Love from Di, Sarn and Dudley!

Challenge #523

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here, hosting another fun Snippets Playground Challenge for the next fortnight. There was a small New Year Celebration up in the Treehouse . . . but we kept the noise down and managed not to have the Fire Brigade called out . . . so all was well! Hic! The Christmas decorations have come down and the Christmas tree has been put out for recycling!

Details of the card below can be found on my personal blog HERE:

The prize for this challenge consists of 3 stamp sets: an A5 set by Creative Expressions called "Inspiring Edges", an A6 set by Visible Image called "Wings of Change" and a sweet little arty StudioLight clear stamp set.

My thanks to Lesley G for contributing towards this lovely prize.

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry (or you can add a photo of them if you wish). If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 17th January 2026. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Happy New Year Playmates . . . and happy snippeting in 2026.

Love from Sarn, Miss Di and Dudley Dog xxx

Results of Challenge #521

Hello Playmates!

Well that's Christmas over and done with for another year!

The Nativity Play was a riot - with angels running amok and Di losing the Christmas star at the last minute with Dudley having to make another one PRONTO.

After last year's fiasco with real animals, we opted for the safer version of a toy lamb and a doll for the baby Jesus. We had two playmates dressed up in the camel costume, but the trouble was, they didn't know their lefts from their rights and each half of the camel kept trying to walk in different directions - making for a very drunken looking animal for the three Magi!

I'm not sure who tripped over the wire for the Christmas tree lights, but there was an almighty crash from the tree and the three Magi who were following each other on stage bumped into each other and lay in a heap on the floor, plus the whole place was plunged into darkness. The caretaker managed to get the lights switched on again while I got the smelling salts out for Miss Di who was crumpled on the floor in a dark corner! Still, all's well that ends well and, once the lights went back on and we finished singing, we retired to the treehouse for some well-earned refreshments. Some of us ended up behind the bike sheds swigging sherry and eggnog . . . NO . . . NOT both together UGH(!) . . . what are you like?

Here are my top picks for Challenge #521 (in entry order):

First up is CAROL G's fab festive card made with patterned paper snippets and a lovely die cut sentiment.

Next up is LYNNE’s beautiful Christmas ornament card. A lot of patience required, but a stunning result.

Last, but by no means least, is PAT’s wonderful festive make with snowmen peeking above a snowy fence with their robin friends. So sweet!

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winners are:

Linby (11); Liz Cavill (13); Lesley G (14) & Ionabunny (22)

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 10th January 2026 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Di's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details.

Wishing you all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR, with love from Sarn, Miss Di and Dudley Dog.

Challenge #522

Welcome to another fun Snippets Playground Challenge for the next fortnight, where Dudley and I will be hosting you - wearing Santa hats of course! Sarn is our naughty elf of course - what else?

The Nativity Play rehearsals are well underway with the usual amount of mayhem!

Here’s my snippets card:

Details of the above snippets card can be found at Pixie's Crafty Workshop HERE, along with the latest news of Dudley.

DECEMBER CHALLENGES AND PRIZES:

We are doing something a little different for our two December challenges again this year

Sarn and I are emptying the Playground Toy Box of all things festive, and, with the “help" (aka fussing and meddling!!) of our trusty Christmas Elf (aka Dudley), we are busy bundling together Christmas-themed craft items to make up MYSTERY PARCELS for FOUR LUCKY WINNERS PER CHALLENGE (so there will be EIGHT DECEMBER WINNERS). To make life easier for both Sarn and myself, you won't be able to choose a prize - it will be pot luck - but all winners will get a lovely festive surprise in the post during January.

To enter, all you have to do is play by our RULES!

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 3rd January 2026. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Dates for your diary

December Challenge Results will be posted on 28th December 2025 (for Challenge #521) and 11th January 2026 (for Challenge #522).

Happy crafting and Merry Christmas, 🎅🎄🎄🎄🎄🎅

Results of Challenge #520

Hello Everyone!

Di here - popping back in the middle of Sarn's challenge - to reveal my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge #520

Here are my top picks (in entry order), it was such a tough choice once again. I had five real favourites but the rules say only three picks:

Kath certainly proved what patience she has with all the teeny inlaid windows on this lovely Christmas card, a very festive card using a much loved die:

Then, Emma T showed how thinking outside the box (literally a shadow box die) can make a beautiful little snippets Christmas card - along with a whole host of similar cards:

And finally, Pauline C arrived with a stunning card, using the eclipse technique and some breathtaking stamped butterflies! Proof that you should always keep those snippets of white card for layering!

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

Kate

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 27th December 2025 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Sarn's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details. It's our Christmas draw with extra prizes this month!

Love from myself, Sarn and Dudley Dog.

Results of Challenge #519

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here - popping back in the middle of Di's challenge - to reveal my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge #519.

Here are my top picks (in entry order):

I just love how these inquisitive dogs are peeking into the room. A wooftastic card by AQUARIUS (Val) and the sentiment is just pawfect (sorry, HAD to!)

HELEN came skipping into the Playground waving a Christmas card that she said she made in sewing class. But I happen to know that is NOT real stitching (even though it looks like it is!). I love everything about this festive make.

This very cool Christmas card was made by VALERIJA. I love the frosty papers she used as well as the cute die-cut polar bear skating along - it’s snow much fun (sorry, couldn't help myself!)

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 13th December 2025 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.
