Challenge #507

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here, hosting another fun Snippets Playground Challenge for the next fortnight.

The usual suspects have been loitering at the back of the bike sheds, supping my homemade "lemonade" and scoffing ice creams bought from the Tuck Shop. We had scouts out to alert us to Miss Di and Dudley's presence so we had time to pack up and scarper!

Details of this card can be found on my personal blog HERE:

The prize for this challenge consists of Aall & Create products: "Le Parfum" stamp set #841 kindly donated by Pauline C (thank you); "Wildflower" stamp set #565 and "Cloister Grille" stencil #78 both from me.

I am lucky enough to have all these products in my own craft stash and have made a few cards with them which you can see HEREHERE and HERE, and the stencilling on the second card in THIS post. Hope this gives you a few ideas for using the items in this lovely prize.

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry (or you can add a photo of them if you wish).

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 7th June 2025. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Sadly, due to escalating postage costs and additional customs issues, we are now only posting prizes to the UK and EUROPE. If you live outside the UK, please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although we always send them out clearly marked as "gifts". In claiming your prize, you accept that any such fees are your responsibility.

Love from Sarn, Miss Di and Dudley Dog xxx

Results of Challenge #504

Hello Everyone!

It's Di here - popping back in the middle of Sarn's challenge - to share my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge #504.

Due to the glorious weather this week, I dragged out the paddling pool and filled it so you could have loads of fun splashing around in it - although I've had to blow my whistle a few times when you got a bit TOO boisterous! Dudley's been busy running back and forth keeping the treehouse fully stocked with ice creams and lollies, and don't think I haven't noticed you sneaking off to see Sarn, who's been doing a roaring trade in cocktails in the shade at the back of the bike sheds.

Here are my top picks (in entry order)

Carol G was quick off the mark with this gorgeous card in pinks, a beautiful green and touches of gold. The black background is a wonderful idea!

And here's a brilliant rocker card, made by Sandy. Love the bunny and carrots - great combination of the image and background paper! A perfect Easter card.

And last, but not least, Glennis scampered in waving this fabulous 'poppies' card. It's from an SVG file and I can only imagine all the work taken to assemble such a lovely image.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE

The randomly picked winner is:

Kath

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 17th May 2025 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Sarn's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details.

All the best from Di, Sarn and Dudley Dog.

AND - 'May the 4th be with you'!!

Challenge #505

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here, hosting another fun Snippets Playground Challenge for the next fortnight.

The Easter Egg hunt was fun wasn't it? Lots of chocklit was eaten, but not TOO much, as I didn't have to do any clearing up thankfully!

Details of the card below can be found on my personal blog HERE:

The items making up this prize come from me and comprise an A5 clear stamp set called Poppy Scapes by Crafty Roo; an A6 clear stamp set designed by Jane Davenport called Poppy Girl and a lovely leafy 6" x 6" stencil by Heffy Doodle. As both Crafty Roo and Heffy Doodle have closed their doors, this is a great opportunity to win some of their fab products.

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw. If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 10th May 2025. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Winners outside the UK: Please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although we always send them out clearly marked as "gifts". In claiming your prize, you accept that any such fees are your responsibility. We are sorry to say that due to escalating postage costs, and additional customs issues, we are only posting prizes within the UK and Europe.

Happy crafting!

Challenge #504

Di here, a new challenge begins today - and finally, Spring really is in the air here in the UK. Hooray!

First of all, here's my own snippets card:

All the details of the above card are over on Pixie's Crafty Workshop HERE - as well as Dudley's latest 'Pupdate'.

And here's the prize for this coming fortnight:

The prize consists of a set of two heart shaped dies by Craft Addiction from me, one of which I used for my snippets card above from my own set of course! Plus, a Stampendous Cling House Mouse stamp called 'Lily of the Valley' from Brenda and an unbranded flowery embossing folder from Val. Huge thanks ladies for your kind donations!

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw. If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 26th April 2025. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Winners outside the UK - i.e. Europe*: Please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although we always send them out clearly marked as "gifts". In claiming your prize, you accept that any such fees are your responsibility.

*IMPORTANT: Sadly, we will no longer be sending prizes beyond the UK and Europe. It wasn't an easy decision, but unfortunately, escalating postal costs and additional customs issues have left us with no choice. Of course, everyone is still in with a chance of being a Top Pick.

Love and hugs from me, Sarn and Dudley Dog. xxx

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here - popping back in the middle of Di's challenge - to reveal my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge 501.

We have finished spring cleaning the treehouse, and to celebrate, Di mixed a few jugs of her patented "Snippets Special" cocktail to enjoy in the After School Club - purely to make us forget the huge spiders we found of course! (Don't worry, they're gone now!).

Here are my top picks (in entry order):

Sandra H brought along this gorgeous birthday card for a good friend of hers. Lovely composition and lots of snippets used up.

Next up . . . Sandy J brought this fabulous pinwheel card along to the Playground. Great use of snippet strips and a fab embossed background.

For my final pick, I chose Brenda's spectacular floral card. I love the arched card shape and the vibrant colouring against the black mat. Congratulations are in order as Brenda has a new addition to her family!
