Challenge #517

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here, hosting another fun Snippets Playground Challenge for the next two weeks.

Details of the card below can be found on my personal blog HERE:

The prize for this challenge consists of two sets of dies and a stamp set

The Creative Expressions dies (donated by Jackie T) can be used in a number of different ways - as two separate edging strips; a lined panel or combinations of all three dies. The Love 2 Craft nesting dies (donated anonymously) are a lovely shape and a useful size, and the Aall & Create #986 stamp set (from me) is one of my favourites (see HERE, HERE and HERE for ideas).

Please be sure to say what snippets you used on your entry (or you can add a photo of them if you wish). If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner. Please remember to let us know if you're playing for the prize or just for fun.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 25th October 2025. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Happy crafting,

Love from Sarn, Miss Di and little Dudley Dog xxx

Challenge #515

Hello Playmates!

I’m hosting another fun Snippets Playground Challenge - so why not dive into your snippets mountain, make something with them, then come back to "show and tell" via Mr Linky!

Miss Di has been resting in a comfy chair in the Staff Room with Dudley dancing attendance on her and I’ve made sure she’s had a few of my homemade restorative “tonics”!. She still has some healing to do, but is feeling better and I am certain all your good wishes have helped speed her recovery. MWAH! 🥰

Details of the card below can be found on my personal blog HERE

The prize for this challenge consists of the Aall & Create Florastella stencil #53 and three clear polymer Crafty Roo sentiment stamps - one of which is demonstrated on my card because I have the same stamp in my own collection!

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry (or you can add a photo of them if you wish). If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 27th September 2025. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Happy crafting,

Love from me (Sarn), Miss Di and Dudley Dog xxx

This stunning Christmas card from HELEN caught my eye as it's so striking with the black background and gold embossing.

This super CAS card by KATE L grabbed my attention because the colourful butterfly really draws the eye in. Great sentiment and the card proves that less is often more!

Challenge #514

Phew, that's a couple of weeks I don't fancy repeating in a hurry! Progress is slow - but every day sees an improvement in my hand and arm. HUGE thanks to Sarn for holding the fort (aka the Playground!) brilliantly - what a star!

So let's get on with another fun Snippets Playground Challenge for the next fortnight, where Dudley and I will be hosting you, with appropriate refreshments being dispensed by Sarn no doubt! I have spied a suspicious quantity of empty bottles in the recycling bin, so it looks as if normal service wasn't disrupted in that quarter either - what a scamp!

Details of the above snippets card can be found at Pixie's Crafty Workshop HERE, along with the latest news of Dudley.

Here's the three-part prize bundle for this challenge:

These lovely items arrived during this past week from Brenda (of Allsorts and other challenges) - what a lifesaver as I didn't need to dig around in the Toy Box! Many thanks Brenda. The prize consists of a set of 4 John Next Door dies called 'Honesty Heart’; an Oakwood set of clear stamps called 'A6 Doodles in Bloom Flowers and Frames' and (tucked at the back in the piccie above) a stencil by AALL & Create called 'Ooopsie #161’ - a sweet name for the stencil as it's covered in pretty daisy shapes!

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry (or you can add a photo of them if you wish). If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner. Also, do check out Rule 11 HERE for more information about prizes, if you're unsure.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 13th September 2025. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Happy crafting,

Love from Di, Sarn and Dudley Dog xxx

Results of Challenge #512

Hello Everyone!

Di here, popping back in the middle of Sarn's challenge to share my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge #512.

I’ve been in the wars this week! While climbing up to the Treehouse, I managed to trip on one of the ladder rungs and took a tumble! I've hurt my dominant hand and arm, so haven’t been able to make a snippets card this week. *Sigh*. My trusty sidekick Sarn has stepped in to help me write this post.

Here are my top picks (in entry order):

First up is this pretty floral card by Pauline C. I love all the pink and gold! Embossing always looks so classy.

Next is Lesley G with this very detailed card using up lots of snippets. That bag looks perfect for a day trip out in the lovely weather we’ve been experiencing.

Last, but certainly not least, is Pat’s elegant anniversary card, full of hearts.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

Congratulations Jules. Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 6th September 2025 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line. There may be a delay in posting until my hand recovers.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Sarn's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details.

All the best from myself, Sarn and Dudley Dog.

Challenge #513

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here, hosting another fun Snippets Playground Challenge for the next fortnight.

It's been a blistering week here in the UK, so (with much huffing and puffing) Di and I dragged the paddling pool back out and put it at the end of the slide. There has been rather a lot of joyful shrieking and splashing about. I'm going to see if the budget will stretch to a few sun loungers! Lesley kept on supplying ice creams from her cool box and everyone was happy!

Details of my homework can be found on my personal blog HERE:

The prize for this challenge consists of two Aall & Create stamps sets "Anemone" (#980) and "Watering Can" (#437), along with a lovely edging die by Crafters Companion called "Blossoming Borders". My thanks to Pauline C for donating all the items in this lovely prize.

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry (or you can add a photo of them if you wish). If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 30th August 2025. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Happy crafting,

Love from Sarn, Di and Dudley Dog xxx
